Returning to the Archives

I wanted to kick off my artwork section of my website with something that I’ve wanted to make for a long time, hence, this piece. I’ve always had a thing for Halo, both lore and the striking visual designs within. Forerunner structures (and megastructures in general, which I have a strong feeling will be a recurring theme here in the future) have always fascinated me; the brutalist architecture but rather than concrete, executed in the brilliant metal finishes within, is an aesthetic I’ve always deeply, deeply enjoyed.

Alongside that, clouds accenting the bottom edge (and the frankly brilliant way you can cast light into them) give it a sense of scale that I really liked.
